Moving large items of furniture is never easy and can often be backbreaking work! Large wardrobes often present challenges to removal companies, especially large antique pieces. Even the largest of modern wardrobes are generally never an issue as they are usually designed and manufactured in kit form for self assembly, and as long as they havent been glued they will usually come apart with ease. The one area of issue with a self assembly robe can be the rear panels which are often of hardboard and more often than not tacked with dozens of nails. It is difficult to remove these backs without some damage to the hardboard. If you are putting a flat pack wardrobe into store or if it has lots of pieces it is a good idea to take photos and number pieces as the unit is dismantled.
