Having worked in Bedford many years, we have to come relish the vibrancy Bedford has to offer to its residents and visitors. With so much on offer to see and do including stunning outdoor spaces, Bedford has something for everyone to enjoy, including a dynamic night life!

Previously the host for Proms in the Park and a UB40 concert, Bedford Park is more than just your average city park. Found in the middle of Bedford, it has been awarded the green flag status as a reflection of its high standards. It has mature gardens, scenic walk paths and an abundance of seating areas to suit all.
If you are feeling peckish, try an afternoon tea or lunch at the cafe, when visiting Bedford.
Herrings Green Activity Farm
Birds watchers rejoice! From Falcons to Hawks, there are over 200 birds of prey and animals housed at the farm. Appealing to the whole family, the farm encourages visitors to get involved and participate in a variety of activities available including tractor rides, crazy golf and hatchery. So if you’re looking into visiting Bedford, this is certainly a great place.

Canoe Trail on the River Great Ouse
For the more adventurous, canoeing on the River Great Ouse is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the rivers natural beauty and surrounding banks. Offering visitors canoe and kayak rental, you are more likely to find campers making the most of their environment. That being said, there are half day and full day options available to those who aren’t keen on pitching up a tent!

Spice it up at the chilli farm
Maybe not the average item on a ‘things to do list’ but we can’t get enough of this place. If, like us, you love a bit of chilli, then try the chilli tour at Edible Ornamentals [insert link: http://edibleornamentals.co.uk/]
Whether its because you like the burning feel on the back of your throat or have always wondered how chilli was grown, the farm has a wonderfully rustic restaurant offering diners chilli inspired dishes. Prices for mains start at £6.50.
If the above things to do isn’t your ‘cup of tea’, Bedford does have a range of golf courses, bars, restaurants and museums on offer. With so much to do, we had to whittle down our favourites to only four. But this will certainly keep you busy when visiting Bedford!
